Radio Frequency Body Contouring

Radio Frequency Body Contouring (also known as skin tightening) is becoming very popular because it helps remove fat, tighten the skin and improve tone, without any pain or downtime at all! It’s a pretty versatile treatment since it can help reduce flabby skin, contour and tighten a post pregnancy tummy, reduce saddle bags and even lift and tighten your bum.

Radio Frequency (RF) Body Contouring heats the skin to over 104 degrees which safely and comfortably minimizes the appearance of cellulite dimpling and fatty bulges, while simultaneously tightening the skin and improving the contours of the target area(s). At the deepest level, the RF alters the network of connective tissues that hold the fat cells in place, pulling them closer together so that the cellulite does not bulge out and create the well-known rippling we associate with cellulite. Most people will be able to notice an immediate result in the tightness of their skin, but results continue to emerge in the days following the treatment too. Skin is remarkably smoother and muscle tone is more visible too. Normally, multiple sessions are required, generally 1 per week until you’ve had about 10 treatments in total, this depends on the results you want.

It is relatively painless, relaxing and you may experience a gentle warming heat with a comfortable massage. You'll lay on a comfortable massage table. From there, the technician applies the pads to the targeted area, inundating it with laser energy for about 10 to 20 minutes. If necessary they may then move the pads to focus on another area and repeat the treatment. And that's about it.

Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation

Liquefy your fat cells with the power of sound waves. Ultrasound Cavitation is a leading-edge technology that disrupts fat cells, emulsifies and turns them into liquid, later to be excreted by the body through your normal metabolic process.
Low frequency ultrasound waves pass through the skin, leaving a path of vibration throughout the fatty tissue. The ultrasound cavitation treatment will often yield immediate results which you can feel, touch and see and it can be long lasting. Some clients can experience between 1 to 5 cm. of circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after subsequent visits. However, more significant results will be noticed after the second and third treatment. Normally, multiple sessions are required, generally 1 per week until you’ve had about 6-12 treatments in total, this will depend on the results you want.

Ultrasound Cavitation is not a treatment for obesity nor is it a weight loss procedure. Rather is a method for ‘reshaping’ and ‘toning’ the body. Cellulite isn’t fat, so let’s just set aside that myth right now. Cellulite refers to the puckered appearance of skin when fatty tissue pushes through the fibrous bands, called septae, that connect skin to muscle.
These bands “pull down and tether the skin, and that’s what leads to the dimpled appearance of cellulite.
Common names for cellulite are orange-peel skin, cottage-cheese skin, hail damage, and the mattress phenomenon. Cellulite can affect both men and women, but it is more common in females, due to the different distributions of fat, muscle, and connective tissue. Between 80 and 90 percent of women may experience cellulite at some point in their lives.
Loss of skin thickness, which happens as we age, can contribute to the appearance of cellulite, as can hormones, poor diet, an unhealthy lifestyle, accumulated toxins, genetics, weight gain, inactivity, pregnancy etc.

The exact cause of cellulite is unknown, but it appears to result from an interaction between the connective tissue in the dermatological layer that lies below the surface of the skin, and the layer of fat that is just below it. In women, the fat cells and connective tissue in this layer are arranged vertically. If the fat cells protrude into the layer of skin, this gives the appearance of cellulite.
In men, the tissue has a criss-cross structure, which may explain why are less likely to have cellulite than women. Some other factors appear to be linked to the chance of having cellulite.

Owner & Founder of Grace & Lotus Wellness
Nina comes from a holistic wellness and biology background of 20+ years. Five years ago when her son was entering elementary school she decided to take a leap into entrepreneurship, so that she could have flexible hours that were parallel to the short school hours of transitional kindergarten.
The Summer of 2018 she took her first body sculpting courses and by winter of the same year, she opened her business. In addition, she continues to advance her knowledge and is currently 3 times certified, knowledgeable about the health benefits of the Gut and the Lymphatic System. She is compassionate and motivated to help others find their confidence again, feel good , and live a healthier lifestyle.
